Spartacus: House of Ashur Sequel Series Adds 8 to Cast

The upcoming Spartacus sequel series, Spartacus: House of Ashur, has added eight new cast members.

Spartacus: House of Ashur will see Nick Tarabay reprise his role as the titular Ashur. Production on the Starz series, which comes from showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, is currently underway.

Who is starring in Spartacus: House of Ashur with Nick Tarabay?

Per Deadline, Spartacus: House of Ashur will star Graham McTavish (The Witcher) as Korris, Tenika Davis (Jupiter’s Legacy) as Achillia, Jamaica Vaughan (800 Words) as Hilara, Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth) as Messia, Leigh Gill (Joker) as Satyrus, Jordi Webber (Choose Love) as Tarchon, India Shaw-Smith (Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater) as Viridia, and Claudia Black (The Nevers) as Cossutia.

Starz describes Spartacus: House of Ashur as a “history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience that builds on everything that made the original series a colossal hit. The series poses the question: what if Ashur, played by fan favorite Nick Tarabay, hadn’t died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion?”

“To be afforded the opportunity to return a decade later to a series you loved is such a rare, wonderful opportunity,” DeKnight previously said of the sequel series. “I could not be more excited to craft this next chapter in the Spartacus saga with STARZ, Lionsgate, and the incomparable Nick Tarabay.”

The first season of Spartacus, titled Spartacus: Blood and Sand, premiered in January 2010. It was followed by a six-episode prequel miniseries titled Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. The second season, Spartacus: Vengeance, came in 2012 followed by the third season, Spartacus: War of the Damned, in 2013.

A release date for Spartacus: House of Ashur has not yet been announced by Starz.
