WWE Bad Blood Confirmed for October Return

WWE has an exciting event calendar lined up for fans, and Triple H’s control over the company’s creative direction has brought about many changes. One older pay-per-view event that hasn’t been seen in a long time is officially making a comeback, because Bad Blood is returning in October.

Cody Rhodes and Metro Boomin appeared in a new commercial, which the rapper first shared on his social media. Fans were surprised to see that this advertisement was for the return of WWE Bad Blood in July. The event is set to take over Atlanta on October 5.

WWE Bad Blood was first held in October 1997 when the promotion was still known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The inaugural event was part of the 18th In Your House PPV. After six years and the promotion’s rebranding to WWE, Bad Blood returned as its own PPV in June 2003, replacing King of the Ring. In line with the brand extension, the 2003 and 2004 Bad Blood events were held exclusively for wrestlers from the Raw brand division. In 2005, One Night Stand replaced Bad Blood.

The first Bad Blood event is notable for introducing the Hell in a Cell match, which served as the main event match for all three years the pay-per-view was held. Bad Blood was announced to be revived in 2017; however, these plans were scrapped in favor of an event titled Great Balls of Fire. Now, Bad Blood is set to return on October 5, 2024, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is exciting news for pro wrestling fans, and there is a strong possibility that the Hell in a Cell match will make a comeback as well. Only time will tell how the event will be booked, but this nostalgic return, which is close to Triple H’s heart, is certainly welcomed.
