The 128th edition of Africa’s greatest horse racing extravaganza, the Hollywoodbets Durban July, was a sight to behold this Saturday.

With the theme of “Riding the Wave,” attendees arrived in stunning blues, layers, and flowy materials, showcasing their unique style and creativity.

Celebrities like actress, Jessica Nkosi turned heads with her ensemble made by designer Ruberto Scholtz. The dress interpreted the theme perfectly with light blue flowing layers of material imitating a splash of waves.

Content creator Nadia Jafta wore a blue dress designed by Sicelo.

While Teko Modise, the event’s ambassador, wowed the crowds with his impeccable fashion sense.

Other famous faces gracing the purple carpet included a star-studded lineup of personalities from the entertainment industry, such as Pamela Mtanga and Lamiez Holworthy.

Over the years, the Hollywoodbets Durban July has become synonymous with glamour, luxury, and excitement, drawing crowds for its thrilling races and fashion displays.

The Greyville Racecourse was packed with over 55,000 spectators and millions of rands were wagered on bets throughout the country. With Hollywoodbets taking over as the headline sponsor again this year, increasing the stakes in the race to a whopping R13 million for the feature and minor races held between March and August.
