5 Must-Visit Golf Entertainment Venues in Las Vegas

Las Vegas has been an exciting golfing destination for decades, often hosting PGA tournaments and celebrity events. But these days, golf culture goes beyond visits to manicured courses such as Shadow Creek, Cascata, Rio Secco and Wynn Golf Club. Now, even amateurs can pick up a club and take a few swings in between other activities at the city’s growing number of sports entertainment complexes along the Strip.

Colossal golf entertainment venues Topgolf and Atomic Golf are popular spots for work outings and gatherings — each having hundreds of bays, restaurants, bars and even pools. But these two venues are not alone: Indoor golf simulators and mini-golf courses are bringing fun and games to the masses, merging sports with Las Vegas nightlife.

And it’s a trend that will not be fading anytime soon. Swingers Crazy Golf is set to open in a former nightclub space at Mandalay Bay later this year. It will serve signature cocktails and street food, as well as have DJs spinning tunes at its five 9-hole golf courses set in an English garden.
Here are a few more options to consider.

1. Atomic Golf

Located at the north end of the Strip, Atomic Golf is a massive, four-story complex. Tucked next to The Strat Hotel, the newly opened venue offers immersive games that players can access from 103 bays. And Atomic’s unique Putting District has eight digital putting bays that use high-tech projection mapping.

In addition to the typical fairway fare, Atomic’s signature dishes include New York steak banh mi fries, chicharron  nachos, kalua pork quesadillas and truffle lobster popcorn. A Cosmic Lounge, six bars and a Tap Room with 15 locally brewed beers is also available.

2. J Bar & Golf Lounge

For those looking to improve their golf game or just play a famous course (there are more than 250 to choose from), J Bar & Golf Lounge offers eight high-tech indoor golf simulators that analyze spin and ball contact to perfectly synchronize results. A full-service bar and a dining menu that includes sushi, pasta and wraps adds to the experience.

3. KISS World Mini Golf

Rockers of all ages will find KISS World Mini Golf at Rio Las Vegas to their liking. An 18-hole, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course sits at the center of this KISS-themed attraction, which also includes arcade games, a gift shop, a wedding chapel and a museum with band member guitars and other memorabilia.

4. PopStroke

Better with a putter? Head over to PopStroke. This elevated mini-golf experience, which debuted at Town Square in April and has the backing of Tiger Woods, is unlike any traditional putt-putt. Players navigate two challenging, 18-hole courses that feature rolling greens and sand traps, with adults able to order drinks for on-course delivery from an app. A two-story building overlooking both courses acts as a sports bar, restaurant and outdoor beer garden with games such as ping pong, foosball and cornhole. For family fun, there is also an ice cream parlor and a playground.

5. Topgolf

Located behind MGM Grand Las Vegas, Topgolf has 120 climate-controlled bays spread over four floors where players can select a game and take aim at the targets below. Unique food and drink options include macaroni bites, chicken katsu sliders and pineapple upside down cake, along with fruity signature cocktails. Topgolf also has two pools open to the public.
