4 former Chiefs starters who might be done in the NFL

It’s an honor to be able to make it into the NFL at all let alone for several seasons. All careers eventually come to an end at some point, and there are four former Kansas City Chiefs players that we’re going to discuss in this article who are likely facing the end of their tenures this year.

Whether these players were mostly special teams contributors, injury-prone, or simply not good enough to compete in the league anymore, their time in the NFL is likely coming to an end.

Before we get to the four main players, let’s look at some potential honorable mentions.

As of this writing, Gabbert has not signed anywhere and with the Chiefs signing Carson Wentz, it doesn’t look like the former Mizzou quarterback is returning to Kansas City in 2024. That being said, a team could end up signing him as we inch closer to the season if they need some quarterback depth so I’m not sure his career is officially over yet. If it is, however, he’s had a far better career than anyone could have imagined.
