35 women participating in cricket umpire workshop – Times of India

Kanpur: As many as 35 women are participating in cricket umpire and scorer workshop being organized by Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association here at Kamla Club on Friday.The workshop was inaugurated by UPCA secretary Arvind Kumar Srivastava and Gaur Hari Singhania Academy CEO Dr Deepak Sharma delivered the welcome speech on this occasion. The chief guest emphasized on the development of women cricket and hoped that this ongoing workshop would prove fruitful for them.UPCA director Prem Manohar Gupta encouraged the women participants and gave thanks to all guests. Later, international umpire Anil Chaudhary shared his experiences and qualities of a successful umpire, and highlighted the significance of the ongoing workshop. BCCI educationist P Jaipal emphasised on the role of scorer.
