2024 AHSAA North vs South All-Star basketball games: How the top Alabama recruits performed

The North All-Stars were victorious over the South All-Stars 87-45 at the 2024 AHSAA North vs South All-Star girls basketball game held at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

Park Crossing’s Saniya Jackson was named the South All-Stars MVP and Good Hope’s Ava McSwain was named the North All-Stars MVP.

McSwain led all scorers with 16 points, shooting perfect from 3-point territory. Chelsea’s Haley Trotter added 12 points. Sarah Gordon, Ella Wheeler and Ashlyn Howard chipped in eight points each.

Reigning Alabama girls basketball Gatorade player of the year and Alabama women’s basketball commit, Ace Austin, finished with five points and four assists for the North team.

Jackson led the South team with 14 points and four steals. Auburn high’s Brooke Hallman and Trinity’s Maddie Smith finished with eight points a piece.

Brewbaker Tech had two players selected for the South team in Kennedi McGhee and Jillian Baine. McGhee finished with four points and four rebounds.

The North boys team bested the South 97-85 to close out the evening. Ramsay’s Jayden Williams was named the North MVP and Desmond Williams took home the award for the South.

Jayden Williams had a game-high 21 points with eight rebounds and three assists. Fairfield’s DeMarcus Williams added 15 points and five assists. Gadsen City’s Devin Birksdale finished with 13 points and Huffman’s Peyton Wiggins finished with 12 points.

Desmond Williams led the South with 17 points and Central-Phenix Jacob Hill added 14 points, five rebounds and two assists. Georgina’s Nasir Cheatham concluded with 12 points and a block.

Montgomery-area players representing the South squad was Skyler Stovall (Montgomery Academy) and Tyler Robertson (Calhoun). Stovall finished with four points, a steal and a bock. Robertson tallied five points with 10 rebounds.
