1 taken to hospital after water rescue at Langford Lake

One person was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon following what firefighters call a “water rescue” in Langford.

Langford Fire Rescue says it was called to Langford Lake around 2 p.m., and launched a fire boat to help get a patient back to shore.

RCMP and paramedics were also at the scene, and one person was looked over by BC Emergency Health Services before being taken to hospital by ambulance, according to firefighters.

Firefighters say they’re not sure what the status of the patient is now.

CHEK News has reached out to RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services for further details.
